South Valley Circuit

Description of Tour:

We will pick you up from your hotel at 8:15 am for a guided tour in the south valley where you can visit the following sites:

Tipon:

A large area of agriculture, containing 12 stunning terraces, the walls were built with finely carved. More impressive is the irrigation system that is still serving for agriculture. Declared Wonder of Hydraulic Engineering,  by the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Pikillaqta:

Presents characteristics of a large urban center from the development time of the Wari Empire (pre-Inca civilization), there are over a thousand buildings between squares, colcas (food stores), fields or houses, temples, long and narrow streets with 2 stories buildings.

Andahuaylillas:

Typical Andean village of time of the colony with an unique architecture. Andahuaylillas highlighted in his Catholic church in the colonial era with a beautiful mural decoration and seventeenth and eighteenth century known as the Sistine Chapel of Cusco. The return pass through Saylla, Cusco typical village where you can enjoy delicious chicharrones (deep fried pork). We will be returning to Cusco at 3:30 pm.aprox.
